Job summary

Angard Staffing is hiring for a Royal Mail Delivery Driver in Inverclyde. This temporary role involves driving a delivery van and delivering letters and parcels on a defined route, with portions of the day spent walking and staying active.

Shifts vary and require physical fitness, a full manual UK driving licence with ≤6 points, and flexibility to adapt at short notice. Training and support are provided as part of a vital community service.

Qualifications

• Driving Licence: Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points - you'll be driving a Royal Mail van as part of your round.
• Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of your van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Flexibility: Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels in your community and drive a Royal Mail delivery van.
• Complete parts of your route on foot while ensuring exceptional service and safe delivery of every item.
• Handle and deliver election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.

Your Role

As a Post Person with Driving, you'll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, ensuring letters and parcels are delivered come rain or shine. You'll drive round your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely.

You're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.

Important to Know

Pay & Shifts

The below outlines the pay rates applicable for roles within our Delivery Offices. The rates displayed are payable for the entirety of your shift where the shift description criteria is met.

Rates could be subject to change during busy periods, Angard staffing will communicate any change to your pay rates in advance.

• Dawn Shift - STARTS BETWEEN 0201 - 0400 - £14.61
• Early 0500 - STARTS BETWEEN 0401 - 0500 - £14.61
• Early 0530 - STARTS BETWEEN 0501 - 0530 - £14.61

While this is a temporary role, there may be potential for it to become permanent.
