Job summary

Realise Training in Amersham is hiring a Nursery Apprentice for a 40-hour week, with shifts 7:30am–6:30pm from Monday to Friday. You will support planned activities, help maintain records and assist with daily routines in a safe, inclusive environment.

The program leads toward Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship; on-the-job training is provided by Realise, with 23 days holiday plus bank holidays and additional staff benefits.

Qualifications

• Grade 4/C in English and Maths preferred.
• Experience in childcare is preferable, but new staff can be trained.

We are currently seeking a Nursery Apprentice to join our team on a 40-hour-per-week contract, working shifts between 7:30am and 6:30pm.

In this role, you will play a key part in:

You will also assist with daily routines such as toileting, mealtimes, and ensuring a safe, inclusive environment.

Additional responsibilities include supporting inspections, attending training and staff meetings, and upholding safeguarding and confidentiality standards.

Training to be Provided

Your full role and responsibilities will be set out by your employer. They will provide you with all of the on-the-job training you need to up-skill in your role, and your 20% off-the-job learning will be incorporated as part of your working day.

You will be working towards the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship standard, which includes:

• Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours
• Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Educator
• Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid or Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid
• Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)

This will be delivered by your dedicated training provider, Realise.
