Job summary

PPM Ltd is hiring an Electrician to join a growing team in Flimby, Cumbria. You will carry out electrical installation, maintenance and repair works across social housing and private properties, ensuring safety, quality and excellent customer service.

This full-time, permanent role offers a company van, fuel card and mobile phone, 8:00am-4:30pm Monday to Friday, with competitive salary of £33,750 to £35,310 per year.

The Role

Working across social housing and private residential properties, you'll carry out a variety of electrical installation, maintenance and repair works while ensuring high standards of safety, quality and customer service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Electrical installation, maintenance and repair works.
• Testing, inspection and fault finding.
• Diagnosing and resolving electrical issues.
• Working within occupied and void properties.
• Completing job sheets and recording materials used.
• Ensuring all work complies with current electrical regulations and safety standards.
• Identifying equipment that requires repair or replacement.
• Delivering excellent customer service and maintaining positive client relationships.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and compliance records.

What We're Looking For

Essential

• Qualified Electrician with up-to-date electrical qualifications.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• Commitment to safe working practices and quality workmanship.

Desirable

• Experience working within social housing.
• Experience carrying out maintenance and repair works within residential properties.
• Multi-trade experience.
• Inspection and testing experience.

The Ideal Candidate

You'll be someone who takes pride in delivering work to a high standard and enjoys providing an excellent service to customers.

You may already be working as an Electrician, Maintenance Electrician or Domestic Electrician. Most importantly, you'll be reliable, self-motivated and committed to maintaining the high standards that our customers expect.
