HGV Class 1 - Car Transporter Driver - Southampton

Corby | OTE £60,000+ | Full Training Provided | Permanent Role

HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Drivers for a leading vehicle logistics company based in Corby.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 1 drivers looking to develop a career in vehicle transportation. No previous transporter experience is required, as full training will be provided.

The Role

As a Car Transporter Driver, you will be responsible for:

• Operating 11-car transporters across the UK
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing vehicle deliveries and collections nationwide
• Carrying out vehicle inspections and reporting any damage
• Completing all relevant paperwork and compliance documentation
• Delivering excellent customer service at dealerships and collection points

Routes vary throughout the UK, covering locations from Cornwall to Scotland and across Wales, the Midlands, London and the South East.

• OTE of £60,000 per annum

Working Pattern

• Monday to Friday tramping
• Average working day of approximately 12 hours
• Start times vary depending on route and operational requirements
• Weekend work is very rare and generally offered on a voluntary basis

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Applications welcomed from both newly qualified and experienced Class 1 drivers
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
• Transporter experience beneficial but not essential

Licence endorsements and points will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Assessment Day

Successful applicants will be invited to attend an assessment day which includes:

• Company introduction
• Health & Safety briefing
• Hands-on vehicle loading assessment
• Question and answer session
• Refreshments provided throughout the day

Base Pay: Class 1 Drivers: £17 per hour (first 40 hours) Overtime: £18 per hour

Class 2 Drivers: £15 per hour (first 40 hours) Overtime: £18 per hour
