Job summary

Rullion is seeking a Senior EC&I Engineer for the water industry. The role is hybrid with three office days per week and can be based from offices across the UK (Manchester, Chester, Leeds, Guildford, London, Nottingham, Newcastle).

You will develop design deliverables including Control Philosophy, FDS, SLDs, CBDs, schedules, loop drawings and cable calculations, engaging with clients and supporting business development activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Chartered or working towards Chartership (IET).
• Proven design management skills focused on client delivery.
• Experience mentoring and supervising junior engineers.
• Experience on multi-discipline design projects within Water sector; other industries advantageous.
• At least 5 years' experience in an engineering design environment.
• HV design, ATEX or SIL design is advantageous.

The Opportunity

My client have an exciting opportunity for a

Senior EC&I Engineer

to join their growing team.

In this role, you will develop a range of design deliverables including Control Philosophy / FDS, SLDs, CBDs, schedules, loop drawings and cable calculations. You'll also engage directly with clients, fostering strong working relationships and supporting ongoing business development.

What You Will Bring

• Degree qualified in an Electrical Engineering discipline
• Chartered or working towards Chartership with a relevant professional body (IET)
• Proven design management skills with a focus on client delivery
• Experience mentoring and supervising junior engineers and graduates
• Competent user of Microsoft Office, plus working knowledge of Trimble ProDesign and AutoCAD
• Experience working on multi‑discipline design projects within the Water sector, with additional experience in Industrial, Chemical, Power or Nuclear sectors considered highly advantageous.
• At least 5 years' experience in an engineering design environment.
• Experience in

HV design, ATEX or SIL design is advantageous but not essential.
