Inspiro Learning Limited's N Family Club is offering an Apprentice Chef apprenticeship in London nurseries. You'll learn to create balanced, nutritious menus for children, supported by our N Academy and dedicated trainer.

As an apprentice you’ll complete a Level 2 Production Chef apprenticeship, attend regular one-to-one sessions, get paid holiday leave, and gain hands-on experience in a real job with pathways for future growth.

Qualifications

• Complete a Level 2 Production Chef Apprenticeship standard.
• Be paid and receive holiday leave during the apprenticeship.
• Hands-on learning in a real nursery kitchen.

Responsabilités

• Cook fresh and nutritious meals for nursery children.
• Develop and evolve menus in a cost-effective way.
• Create snacks for children, including dietary variations.
• Promote healthy messages around food for children and parents.
• Deliver customer service and maintain rapport with children and parents.
• Monitor portions and reduce waste to protect margins.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental Health & Ofsted guidelines and record-keeping.

The N Kitchen is right at the heart of our Nursery, serving up fresh and nutritious food for our nursery children during the week. We want to create an uplifting, one-of-a-kind experience for all of our customers – both big and small – and are looking for an Apprentice Chef to learn the ropes.

We are looking for someone that wants to learn to create balanced, nutritious and exciting menus. You will work in purpose-built kitchens in beautiful London nurseries. Day to day you will learn to:

• Cook fresh and inspiring food for our children from 7am-4pm, Monday-Friday
• Constantly develop and evolve our menu, but in a cost-effective manner
• Create fun and nutritional snacks/dishes for all children attending the nursery, including those with specific dietary requirements (3 snacks/meals a day)
• Promote healthy messages and ideas around food
• Deliver best-in-class customer service and maintain a positive rapport with children and parents
• Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
• Ensure that all policies and procedures are in compliance with Environmental Health & Ofsted guidelines and that all relevant records are kept in line with Health and Safety and Food Hygiene Standards

To become an apprentice, you must:

As an apprentice you’ll:

• complete a level 2 production chef apprenticeship standard
• have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
• learn and train for a specific job
• get paid and receive holiday leave
• get hands‑on experience in a real job
• study for 6 hours of your working hours
• complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
• be on a career path with lots of future potential
