Job summary

Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a friendly and dedicated Dental Nurse to join the team at Sturry Dental Practice. The role involves chairside assistance, preparing surgeries, infection control, patient care, and accurate record-keeping.

The position is 2 fixed days per week plus 1–2 additional rota days, permanent with an apprenticeship option for the right candidate. A supportive environment and opportunities for development are offered.

Responsibilities

  • Chairside assistance during dental treatments and procedures
  • Preparing surgeries, instruments, and materials
  • Maintaining high standards of infection prevention and control
  • Supporting patients before, during, and after treatment
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and clinical documentation
  • Cleaning, sterilising, and maintaining dental instruments and equipment
  • Monitoring and maintaining stock levels
  • Following practice policies, health and safety procedures, and confidentiality requirements
  • Working effectively as part of a friendly and supportive dental team
  • Cover reception duties when needed.

Job description

Job Type: 2 fixed days per week, plus 1–2 additional days on a rota basis as required. Any additional shifts will be communicated in advance and with reasonable notice.

Job Role: Permanent position – we will also consider an apprenticeship candidate who is the right fit for the role.

We are looking for a friendly, caring, and enthusiastic Dental Nurse to join our welcoming and professional dental team.

The successful candidate will work closely with our dentists and wider clinical team to provide excellent patient care and ensure the smooth running of the practice.
