Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Ltd is delighted to be working with a prestigious further education college in Cambridge to recruit an experienced Lecturer in Travel and Tourism on a full-time contract.

You will deliver high-quality teaching across Travel and Tourism programmes at Levels 1–3, plan engaging lessons and assessments, provide academic and pastoral support, monitor progress, and embed current industry practice and employability skills to boost student achievement.

Qualifications

• Degree in Travel & Tourism or related subject (or equivalent professional qualification).
• Experience teaching Travel & Tourism in a UK FE college, ideally Levels 1-3.
• Teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, or willingness to work towards one.

Responsibilities

Salary: up to £40 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across Travel and Tourism programmes at Levels 1-3, supporting strong student engagement, progress, and achievement.
• Plan and develop engaging lessons, learning materials, assessments, and practical activities in line with Further Education curriculum requirements.
• Provide academic and pastoral support, constructive feedback, and monitor student progress, attendance, and achievement.
• Incorporate current travel and tourism industry practices, real-world examples, case studies, and employability skills into teaching.

Requirements:

• Degree or relevant professional qualification in Travel and Tourism, Tourism Management, Hospitality, Aviation, or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Travel and Tourism within a UK Further Education (FE) college, ideally at Levels 1-3.
• A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent, or willingness to work towards one.
