Job summary

Highland Council in Brora is seeking a Community Works Operative 4 (LGV) to perform road and winter maintenance tasks. The role involves driving LGV vehicles, operating related plant, and supporting street sweeping, grounds maintenance, burials and refuse collection as needed.

The position is permanent with 37 hours per week and a salary scale from HC03 to HC04 depending on LGV qualifications. A valid LGV licence (Cat C and CE) is required, with training offered to gain the LGV licence where

Qualifications

• Possession of Driving Licence for LGV, Category C and C+E.
• Training may be given to assist the applicant to gain their LGV licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out road and winter maintenance duties as directed.
• Drive and operate LGV road and winter maintenance vehicles including snow ploughs and gritting vehicles.
• Operate road maintenance-related plant and machinery.
• Provide cover for Street Sweeping, Grounds Maintenance, Burials and Refuse Collection when required.

HC03 £27,166 - £27,917 p.a. (without LGV)

Requirements
