Job summary

Wallacestone Primary School, ELC Class, is recruiting for a full-time Early Years Officer. The role involves working within Falkirk Council Education Services to promote high quality play and learning for children, indoors and outdoors, and to build strong relationships with families.

You will hold an HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent), be registered with or seeking registration with the SSSC, and may need PVG scheme membership.

Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a full time Early Years Officer to join the team at Wallacestone Primary School, ELC Class.

You will have skills, knowledge and experience of all current Early Learning and Childcare provision and procedures and have a passion for promoting and delivering high quality play and learning both indoors and outdoors.

You will work as an effective team member and establish positive relationships with children and families. You will have knowledge and experience of current early learning and childcare provision and procedures.

With experience of working with children, you will have an HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent. You must be registered with or currently seeking registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).

If you are the successful candidate, you will be required to gain/maintain PVG scheme membership.

Please note the salary in the advert will be adjusted accordingly for part time and term time contract.

The post is full time (37 hours) term time and permanent within Falkirk Council Education Services. Although based at Wallacestone you may be asked to work in any ELC setting across the Falkirk Council area.
