Job summary

Tesco has a Pharmacy Technician role in UK stores, offering flexible hours and guaranteed minimum shifts. You will accurately dispense prescription medicines, provide friendly advice, support management and maintain compliance with SOPs.

You’ll also keep the dispensary organized and handle queries from customers and healthcare professionals. Applicants should hold an NVQ-level Pharmacy Technician or equivalent, be registered with the GPhC, and complete CPD requirements.

Tesco Pharmacy Technicians pay starts at £14.21 per hour, rising to £15.48 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.

Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what we’re looking for, we still encourage you to apply.

You will be responsible for

You will need

NVQâ€‑level Pharmacy Technician or Accuracy Checking Technician qualification (or equivalent).

Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician/Accuracy Checking Technician.

Evidence of completing a recognised training programme for Pharmacy Technicians or Accuracy Checking Technicians.

Proof of meeting annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
