Job summary

ACS Global Consultants is seeking a communications graduate to own public relations and manage five social media channels (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube). You will report to the Founder & Director and have responsibility from day one.

The role is hybrid, with Birmingham office work required for meetings and events, and regular travel to Birmingham for face-to-face engagements. You'll plan and execute PR, media outreach, and audience-focused messaging.

ACS Global Consultants is an ICEF-registered international education consultancy (membership no. 6878), based in Acocks Green, Birmingham, since 2019. We place international students in universities in the UK, Canada, the USA and New Zealand, help UK-based graduates progress to universities across Europe, and run study pathways for students from the Gulf. We also offer document legalisation support.

The role

We're looking for a communications graduate to take ownership of our public relations and our five social media channels: TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. You'll report directly to the Founder & Director and have real responsibility from the start.

This is a hybrid role. You'll work from our Birmingham office when needed, including for meetings, events and team planning, and from home at other times. Because the role includes events and face-to-face meetings, you'll need to be able to travel to Birmingham regularly.

What you'll do

• Meet regularly with the Director to discuss business strategy, services and target audiences, and turn these into a written PR and communications plan that is reviewed each quarter.
• Plan messaging for each of our audiences: students and parents, partner universities, schools and sixth form colleges, and education agents.
• Own the content and PR calendar across all five platforms, timed around university intakes, partner announcements and events.
• Write, edit and distribute press releases to local, national and international media on new university partnerships, service launches and company milestones.
• Produce a quarterly newsletter for partner universities, schools and education agents.
• Write social media copy for each platform, and brief our multimedia designer on the visuals and video each piece needs.
• Develop student success stories, with each student's written consent.
• Represent the company in meetings and presentations with partner universities, schools, colleges and agents.
• Plan and lead our presence at education fairs, school and college outreach events and partner events.
• Handle media enquiries and build relationships with education journalists and local media.
• Manage our online reputation by monitoring reviews, comments and mentions and responding to them.
• Set up and use analytics and monitoring tools, and produce a monthly report for the Director on reach, engagement, media coverage and enquiry sources, with recommendations.

This role does not involve advising students on courses or applications, and it has no sales targets.

What we offer

• £33,400 per year basic salary
• 28 days' holiday including bank holidays
• Permanent, full-time contract, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
• A direct reporting line to the company founder
