• Checking goods against delivery paperwork before departure.
• Obtaining accurate proof of delivery and reporting any delivery issues.
• Carrying out basic vehicle checks before beginning each route.
• Keeping the allocated vehicle clean, secure and presentable.
• Reporting vehicle defects, accidents or damage immediately.
• Following planned routes and company delivery procedures.
• Driving responsibly and complying with all road traffic laws.
• Picking and preparing customer orders accurately.
• Loading delivery vehicles safely and in the correct order.
• Unloading and checking incoming deliveries.
• Organising stock and maintaining accurate warehouse locations.
• Carrying out regular and strict stock checks.
• Identifying and reporting damaged, missing or incorrectly located stock.
• Keeping aisles, loading areas and workspaces clean, tidy and safe.
• Working closely with warehouse colleagues, drivers and other departments.
• Following all company procedures and health and safety requirements.

Van Driver / Warehouse Operative - Full Time (Birmingham B11)

We are recruiting one reliable and hardworking Van Driver / Warehouse Operative to join our team at our Birmingham premises in the B11 area.

This is a combined role. Depending on operational requirements, the successful applicant will either assist with general warehouse duties or complete delivery routes to customers throughout the UK. Applicants must be willing and able to carry out both aspects of the position.
