Job summary

Travail Employment Group is recruiting an Estimator to join a leading structural steel specialist. The role focuses on preparing cost estimates and managing the tender process for diverse steel projects across the UK and Europe.

You will work with clients, suppliers and internal teams to secure new business while ensuring projects meet client requirements and budgets, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and commercial competitiveness.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in structural steel; estimating, quantity surveying or similar commercial role.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Understanding of UK building regulations, SCI/BCSA standards and fabrication processes would be beneficial.

• Manage enquiries and tender submissions from initial receipt through to quotation.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations.

Our client is a leading structural steel specialist, delivering projects ranging from simple building frames to complex steel structures across the UK and Europe. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an Estimator to join their busy commercial team.

The Role

As Estimator, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and managing the tender process for a variety of structural steel projects. Working closely with clients, suppliers and internal departments, you'll help secure new business while ensuring projects are delivered in line with client requirements and budgets.

About You

Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 5:00pm

Friday: 8:30am - 3:45pm
