Job summary

Additional Resources Ltd is seeking an Asset Data Analyst to join a renewable energy developer focused on clean, sustainable energy. You will manage asset data, develop analyses, and automate reporting to support performance monitoring and decision-making.

The role involves creating live dashboards, troubleshooting data infrastructure, and working with SCADA data feeds. A hybrid working arrangement is available.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or closely related technical discipline.
• Experience cleaning and processing time-series data using Excel, SQL and Python.
• Experience obtaining operational information from SCADA systems or industrial platforms.
• Strong ability to interpret SCADA information and identify technical faults in equipment.
• Familiarity with data through APIs and cloud-based storage like AWS/Azure.

Responsibilities

Asset Data Analyst - SCADA, Python & SQL

Asset Data Analystto join a renewable energy developer delivering clean, sustainable energy while supporting local communities and reducing carbon emissions.

As an

Asset Data Analyst, you will be responsible for managing operational asset data, developing analysis and improving automated reporting to support performance monitoring and decision-making. This role

offers competitive salary plusbenefits and hybrid option.

Working hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm

You will be responsible for:

• Managing, processing and analysing data from operational energy assets and associated systems.
• Developing and maintaining automated processes for data collection, cleaning, storage and analysis.
• Monitoring asset output, availability, downtime, faults, curtailment and production losses.
• Reviewing contractor performance data against contractual KPIs and independently checking asset performance.
• Producing regular and ad-hoc analysis to identify trends, anomalies and operational issues.
• Using Python and other programming tools to develop analytical models and automate data workflows.
• Creating clear, accurate reports, dashboards and management information.
• Developing live operational dashboards using data feeds, APIs and automated pipelines where required.
• Assisting with troubleshooting communications and data infrastructure, including networks, firewalls, VPNs and industrial routers.
• Monitoring operational data feeds such as SCADA telemetry and site security systems.

What we are looking for:

• Previously worked as an Asset Data Analystor in a similar role.
• Experience obtaining operational information from SCADA systems or industrial internet platforms.
• Background in cleaning and processing time-series data using Excel, SQL and Python.
• A degree or HND in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science or a closely related technical discipline.
• A strong engineering approach with the ability to interpret SCADA information and identify potential technical faults in physical equipment.
• The ability to turn complex data analysis into clear, practical and actionable findings.
• Familiarity with obtaining data through APIs.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Experience analysing plant availability against contractual requirements, including availability or power curve warranties.
• Understanding of industrial communications and networking, including VPNs, routers, firewalls, Modbus or OPC UA.
• Ability to develop complex SQL queries.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data storage such as AWS or Azure, or server architecture.
• Experience establishing automated API connections, data pipelines or live operational reporting feeds.
