Job summary

Niyaa People is recruiting a Plumber for reactive repairs across occupied social housing in South Oxford and Newbury. You’ll earn £23 per hour with a company van and fuel, working 40 hours weekly, Monday–Friday 8am–5pm with a 1-hour break, and a temp-to-perm path after 16 weeks at a salary of £36,000–£38,000.

The role covers SNG and Aster housing association properties, handling tasks from taps to full bathroom works while maintaining safety, professionalism and tenant relations in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Solid plumbing experience in reactive repairs.
• Social housing experience preferred.
• Experience in occupied properties and reactive maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer.
• DBS check available or facilitator on request.

Responsibilities

• Perform reactive plumbing repairs across occupied homes.
• Handle everything from taps to full bathroom works.
• Contribute to related multi-trade repairs when needed.
• Work across SNG and Aster housing properties.
• Manage a fast-paced workload and adapt to priorities.
• Interact professionally with tenants and minimise disruption.
• Complete jobs safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Keep work areas tidy and finish relevant paperwork.
