A leading chemical company in the UK is seeking a Reaction Hazards Chemist to evaluate safety properties and operating conditions of materials. This hands-on role requires conducting reaction hazard testing, including calorimetry and thermal analysis, to support various businesses. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in hazards testing in controlled lab environments and will collaborate on specific projects to develop in-house methods.

As a Reaction Hazards Chemist, you will evaluate the safety properties and operating envelopes of JM's materials including Platinum Group Metal (PGM) complexes, catalysts and processes.
This is a hands‑on role which will involve setting up a reaction hazards laboratory including calorimetry methods, thermal analysis, and dust testing. Subsequently, you will carry out such reaction hazard testing in support of JM's businesses; and advising businesses as to what testing is required and aiding with the interpretation and application of the data.
This role would welcome someone with knowledge of hazards testing within a controlled lab environment.
