Job summary

Consortia Group is seeking a talented React Native Engineer to join our fintech team in London. You will design, develop, and enhance a mobile SaaS platform for iOS and Android, delivering a seamless user experience and scalable codebase.

You will collaborate with product managers and designers, optimise performance, implement RESTful API integrations, and contribute to an agile development process with regular stand-ups and sprints. Hybrid role with 2 days onsite in London.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mobile development experience with React Native on iOS/Android.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and mobile development frameworks.
• Solid understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience integrating mobile apps with RESTful APIs and collaborating with backend engineers.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps and writing clean, maintainable code.
• Strong experience working in an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban).

As a React Native Engineer, you will take responsibility for designing, developing, and implementing new features that will enhance the user experience of a unique SaaS platform. In this role, you will develop and implement new features in our React Native mobile application for iOS and Android, collaborating with product managers and designers to translate requirements into scalable and maintainable code. You’ll be responsible for optimising the app’s performance, reliability, and responsiveness across different devices and platforms. You’ll also work closely with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless data flow between the mobile app and backend services. Additionally, you will conduct thorough testing, debugging, and code reviews to ensure the app is stable and performs well. In collaboration with designers, you will implement pixel-perfect UI designs, ensuring the best possible user experience. Furthermore, you will participate in agile development processes, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a React Native Engineer with 3+ years of mobile development experience in React Native, working on both iOS and Android apps.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and mobile development frameworks.
• Solid understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Experience integrating mobile apps with RESTful APIs and collaborating with backend engineers.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile apps and writing clean, maintainable code.
• Strong experience working in an agile environment (Scrum/Kanban).

Bonus Points:

• Experience with Redux, GraphQL, or other state management libraries.
• Background working with SaaS or FinTech applications.
• Familiarity with mobile testing frameworks like Jest or Detox.
• Experience with cloud services and mobile deployment pipelines.
