Barr Personnel is recruiting an experienced Reachstacker Operator for a busy shipping terminal based in Ipswich. You will move, stack and organise heavy shipping containers in a fast-paced logistics environment, contributing to smooth daily operations.

This role offers long-term work with an established maritime operator, requiring safety-conscious performance and strong teamwork with yard staff.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a 45-tonne reachstacker / toplifter to load and unload container ships, trains, and HGVs.
• Stack and organize ISO shipping containers up to 5-6 tiers high in the terminal yard.
• Perform daily pre-operational safety inspections on the machinery.
• Work closely with the yard planning team via two-way radio to ensure efficient container movement.
• Strictly follow terminal safety guidelines and maintain high situational awareness at all times.
