Job summary

The RPC Group is hiring a Reach Forklift Truck and Warehouse Operative. The role is full-time, temporary to permanent, with day shifts from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, in a cold warehouse environment. You will operate a Reach forklift, assist with picking/packing, and handle stock checks and stock movement.

Hourly pay is £13.50. The role includes training, responsibilities across goods-in/out, and on-site tasks in a central Southampton area.

Qualifications

• Experience in goods-in/goods-out warehousing.
• Ability to use warehouse software/inventory systems.
• Reach forklift licence/experience essential.
• Physically fit for manual handling up to 25 kg.
• Eligible to work full-time in the UK.
• Live in or near Southampton central area.

Responsibilities

• Unload/load pallets from vehicles in a busy warehouse.
• Assist with picking and packing duties, including lifting up to 25 kg.
• Stock checks and pallet stacking as required.
• Use scanners/IT equipment for warehouse tasks.
• Maintain clean and tidy work areas and packaging.
• Complete paperwork and warehouse administration as instructed.

Reach Forklift Truck and Warehouse Operative

To be considered for this job you must have valid Reach Forklift Licence or Training Certificate!

Hourly Pay: £13.50

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8am Start / 5pm Finish (40-Hours Per Week). No Weekends or Evenings / Day Shifts Only.

Overview

We have an opportunity for a Reach Forklift Truck Driver and Warehouse Operative to join the business on a full-time, temporary to permanent basis. Working in a Goods-in team unloading / loading pallets of perishable products from various vehicles (container lorries, vans, trucks). Once items are received you will be responsible for storing all produce / stock away into their respective storage areas. You will not spend all your time on the forklift, you will be expected to complete picking and packing duties (lifting and carrying boxes up to 25kg), as well as any cleaning and tidying in the warehouse or site, breaking down packaging. You will also need to complete stock checks of goods coming in, and on occasion you will be required to stack pallets of items / stock / produce ready for collection from their dedicated bays. Throughout your shift you will be working in a cold / chilled environment which can be as cold as -21 degrees.

Key Activities

• Completion of end-to-end warehousing activities as the individual role requires.
• Drive a Reach Forklift Truck in a busy warehouse environment.
• Use scanners/IT equipment provided by the company as appropriate to the task.
• Ensure Best Practice models are adopted.
• Ensure all picks are completed and are accurate.
• Safe unloading and loading of vehicles.
• Complete warehouse administration as appropriate.
• Completing all paperwork as instructed and per company policies.
• Counting and confirming inventory.
• Ensure all picks are completed and are accurate.

Essential Requirements

• Warehouse goods-in and goods-out experience.
• Ability to use warehouse software and inventory tracking systems.
• Driving and forklift licence (Reach truck) essential.
• Physically fit and able to work in a manual warehouse role.
• Eligible to work full-time in the UK.
• Live in the central Southampton or surrounding areas such as Eastleigh / Chandlers Ford.
