Job Summary

This post offers an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual wishing to further develop their knowledge and skills within mental health services for older people. The post holder will be responsible for the day‑to‑day provision of evidence‑based therapeutic activities and will work alongside nursing, occupational therapy staff and carers/families. Based at Windermere Lodge, you will join a friendly and supportive multidisciplinary team and have the chance to contribute to service quality and development.

Apprenticeship Opportunity

Applicants who do not already have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience will be offered a Level 3 apprenticeship in this role. Approximately 20% of working hours will be allocated to training or study, leading to a nationally recognised qualification.

Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
  • English and Maths at level 2 or equivalent (GCSE 9‑4, A*‑C or functional skills level 2).
  • NVQ Level 2 in a related subject.
  • NVQ Level 3 in related subject or willingness to undertake a relevant Level 3 apprenticeship.
Essential Experience
  • Demonstrated keen interest in caring for others.
  • Previous experience of caring for patients in a clinical setting.
  • Experience working as part of a team.
Essential Knowledge
  • Understanding of maintaining confidentiality.
