A values-led and inclusive school in Darlington is seeking an RE Teacher to join its Humanities department from January 2026 on a full-time basis.

Salary: MPS / UPS (Dependent on Experience)

Your Role

Deliver RE lessons across KS3 and KS4 with scope for KS5 depending on experience.

Encourage respectful dialogue and understanding of world religions ethics and philosophy.

Use creative methods to engage students in reflection and debate.

Contribute to whole-school assemblies or themed days on values and diversity.

The Ideal Candidate Will
  • Hold QTS and a degree in Theology Philosophy Religious Studies or related field.
  • Have experience teaching RE in a secondary school context.
  • Be committed to inclusive education and pupil development.
  • Have strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Be legally entitled to work in the UK.
