Job summary
Purosearch Ltd. is assisting a well-established, RCVS-accredited 24-hour veterinary hospital in Shrewsbury in recruiting a Registered Veterinary Nurse. The role offers a varied daily workload with nursing duties, surgeries support, and opportunities for clinical coaching within the practice.
You will join a skilled team operating with advanced diagnostic tools and a strong emphasis on patient and client care, with a favourable rota (40 hours/week, 1-in-6 weekends) and generous CPD and benefits.
Qualifications
- RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse.
- Proven experience delivering excellent patient and client care.
- Strong teamwork ethic with experience supporting nurse consults.
- Coaching and influencing skills to support colleagues and enhance performance.
Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding client and patient care.
- Support surgeries and procedures, including pre- and post-operative duties.
- Conduct nurse-led appointments and Schedule 3 activities.
- Provide expert patient monitoring and care.
- Manage admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Dispense and check medication.
- Uphold regulatory, operational, and clinical standards.
- Lead briefings to align and motivate the nursing team.
