Job summary

The Foodie Recruiter Ltd in Leeds is seeking a Raw Materials Specifications Technologist for a busy food manufacturing site. You will manage raw material data, validate supplier information, and maintain specifications to meet retailer and industry standards.

Working as part of the specifications team, you will update data, support supplier audits, and ensure compliance with legal labelling and allergen requirements. A four-day on-site pattern with one day from home is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing and managing raw material technical data.
• Knowledge of allergens and risk assessment is beneficial.
• Ability to work at pace in a busy manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all quality parameters and procedures are complied with for products and materials.
• Coordinate raw material projects with Procurement to handle shortages and approvals.
• Coordinate sampling and gain approvals for raw material changes.
• Assess raw material data against Company and retailer requirements before approval.
• Complete finished product specifications for retailer/branded products as needed.
• Integrate raw material changes into finished goods specifications.
• Collaborate with internal departments and suppliers to gather data and ensure compliance.
• Review artwork to ensure accurate allergen and labelling information.
• Update the Company specifications database and stay current with legislation.
• Work with internal recipe management and customer web systems.
• Support supplier audits and supplier approvals; develop your skills continuously.
