Job summary

A production company in Greater Lincolnshire is seeking a skilled Planner to oversee raw material purchasing and ensure smooth factory operations. The role involves coordinating with managers, leading planning meetings, and managing stock effectively. The ideal candidate has experience in materials planning and is computer literate. Transportation is required due to the factory's remote location. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday.

Is planning and organising your forte?

Do you love a spreadsheet and keeping track of everything coming into the factory?

Reporting to the Procurement and Planning manager and working closely alongside the production planner and intake manager, you will be responsible for ordering all raw material ingredients to ensure the factory runs smoothly and without stock-outs.

The main duties of your role will include:

  • To plan and raise Raw Material purchase orders for delivery/collection to our site in accordance with the Production schedule and forecast.
  • Work with the Intake Manager & wider team to ensure raw materials arrive and are unloaded in a timely manner.
  • Be an active participant in the weekly planning meetings, voicing any known supply problems to enable plan change conversations to take place.
  • Liaise with company sites to transfer materials between sites when needed, to minimize stock-outs or utilize short-dated materials before they expire.
  • Complete relevant import paperwork for deliveries arriving outside of the UK.
  • Upload pricing information to business systems and spreadsheets, minimizing invoice queries.
  • Assisting with stock controls and reconciliations, correcting stock systems when necessary.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working with stock and material planning, someone who is computer literate, and someone able to communicate effectively with all departments within the company.

Working Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm you will need to have your own transportation due to the remote location of the factory.
