Job summary

Cluttons LLP in London is seeking a Senior Surveyor or Associate to join our market-leading Rating team. You will provide rating advice to landlords, occupiers, investors, and developers, and play a key part in expanding the London office.

You will manage your own client base, develop relationships with cross-disciplinary teams, and apply MRICS expertise to appeals, rateable value challenges, and tribunal matters, while working in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• MRICS qualified with proven Rating experience.
• Experience in providing rating advice and negotiating appeals.
• Detailed knowledge of rating legislation and case law.
• Good general surveying and inspection skills.
• Competent appearing in Valuation Tribunal and upper tribunal.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial attitude to business development.
• Ability to work autonomously and coordinate tasks to meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and proactive team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide bespoke appeal and mitigation advice to clients across properties.
• Manage and grow your own client base and develop relationships with new clients.
• Assist with rating advice through all stages of the property cycle including CCA process.
• Collaborate with Agency, Investment and Development teams to promote the rate team.
