Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer for a prominent non-profit focused on evidence-based impact in Randburg, Gauteng. You will design and manage M&E frameworks to measure program outcomes and inform strategy.

The role requires 5+ years in M&E, strong data collection and analysis skills, proficiency with SPSS/Stata/R, and experience presenting findings to stakeholders. You will collaborate across teams to drive learning and accountability.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in statistics, economics, public policy, social sciences or international development.
• Minimum 5 years of monitoring and evaluation experience.
• Experience developing M&E frameworks, tools and databases.
• Strong analytical skills with SPSS, Stata or R experience.
• Experience in qualitative data analysis.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of project management principles.
• Understanding of Gauteng and Randburg socio-economic context is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive M&E plans for programs.
• Design data collection tools and methodologies (surveys, interviews, focus groups).
• Oversee collection, entry and cleaning of program data.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis to assess progress and impact.
• Prepare regular M&E reports with findings and recommendations.
• Facilitate M&E workshops and training sessions for staff and stakeholders.
• Contribute to program proposals by incorporating M&E components.
• Ensure data quality assurance and integrity throughout the M&E process.
• Stay abreast of best practices and emerging trends in M&E.
• Collaborate with program teams to integrate M&E findings into design and implementation.
