Qualifications

  • Applicants must have a full UK driving licence.
  • Previous aircraft ground handling experience is required.
  • Experience working with VIPs, celebrities, or sports teams is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Intermediate computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.

About the role

  • I am a member of the Jet Centre team and work collaboratively to deliver a VIP service to discreet and confidential clientele.
  • I support in the running of the day-to-day operation of the Jet Centre.
  • I ensure consistent, excellent, and professional customer service is always provided to all internal and external customers.
  • I play an integral role in the Ramp and Operations Team by ensuring all ramp and hangar activities are carried out safely and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • I ensure standard operating procedures; safe systems of work and ground operations manual are always followed correctly. I comply with GDPR processes when handling critical business and client information and data.
  • I am responsible for manning the operations desk, where I will oversee a range of administrative tasks to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations
  • I am the port of call for all ramp/hangar and aircraft operations when on shift. I support the Ramp and Operations Team in ensuring the ramp and hangar duties are always conducted safely and efficiently and take ownership of all aircraft on our ramp, ensuring a safe environment for both the clients and the Jet Centre.
  • I ensure all handling requests are responded to appropriately and in a timely manner, whilst supporting my colleagues with the full process of actioning a flights request. I take control of the daily operational requests into the Jet Centre when on shift.
  • I ensure all interactions with stakeholders are focused on being flexible and positive, providing our customers with a high quality and consistent service.
  • I can demonstrate physical fitness and recognise a portion of my role is to regularly lift/or move baggage and/or equipment. I will be working outside in all weather conditions.
  • I understand that London Southend Airport has a ‘One Team’ culture so there will be occasions where I myself identify the need to, or I am asked to, directly support or I am required to, undertake other activities to support the needs of the business.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • This role includes a level of driving, therefore applicants must have a full UK driving licence
  • Previous aircraft ground handling experience
  • Previous experience working with VIP’s, celebrities or sports teams (advantageous)
  • Excellent verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
