Job summary

A leading baggage handling company in the United Kingdom seeks a dedicated individual to manage the loading and unloading of baggage. Responsibilities include conducting equipment inspections and reporting any irregularities. Main accountabilities include:



  • Onload and offload baggage manually or mechanically, in accordance with the relevant training received.


  • Carry out equipment inspections.


  • Report any faults or irregularities with equipment, facilities, or processes to the appropriate management.


  • Operate, position, and remove company equipment in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with the relevant training received.

  • Co-operate with their manager/supervisor in order to allow them to perform or comply with any legal requirements imposed on the company.


  • Not intentionally or recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided by the company in the interests of health, safety or welfare reasons.


  • Inform their manager/supervisor of any work situation, equipment, or activity that represents a serious or immediate danger to health and safety.


  • Report any hazards, near misses, incidents, accidents, or dangerous occurrences to their manager/supervisor, who will then follow the procedures contained in this manual.


  • Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.


  • Fully understand the company health and safety policy.


  • Attend training courses as may be arranged by the company.




Requirements


  • MUST HOLD FULL UK MANUAL DRIVING LICENCE

  • Capable of performing job-related physical tasks

  • Prepared to work in all weathers



SHIFT PATTERN: MUST BE FULLY FLEXIBLE: Rotating shifts between 04:30am and 23:30pm 7 days on 3 days off or 7 days on 4 days off, OR 6 days on 3 days off rotating
