Job summary

Siemens in the United Kingdom is recruiting an Apprentice aligned to the Rail Engineering Technician apprenticeship standard. The programme lasts about 36 months with an in-person, day-release delivery model and NTAR as the training provider.

You will work at major maintenance depots across the region, gaining hands-on maintenance, inspections, fault diagnosis and collaborative project experience while moving into a permanent role on successful completion.

Qualifications

• You will have achieved or be on track to achieve at least 5 GCSEs including Maths and English.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced rail maintenance environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely and collaboratively with others.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and inspections on fleet assets.
• Diagnose and rectify faults with guidance from experienced teams.
• Collaborate with colleagues to deliver operational excellence.
• Deliver a Business Impact Project proposing a process change.
