Job summary

A prominent railway service provider is looking for an Authorised Person (AP) to ensure the safety of the rail network. The role includes switching, testing, and earthing of overhead lines in strict compliance with Network Rail standards. Ideal candidates will have experience in the rail industry, excellent organisational skills, and a valid UK driving licence. This opportunity involves flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in the rail industry with knowledge of Network Rail rules.
• Current or willingness to obtain PTS, DCCR, First Aid for Electrical Accidents and Electrical Burns, AP OLE/AC-1, AP OLE/AT-1, COSS OLP/CRP LLT, OLEC 1.
• A valid UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertake switching, testing, and earthing of overhead lines.
• Work in compliance with Railway Group Standards and Network Rail regulations.
• Attend site meetings and collaborate with the Nominated Person and Electrical Control Room.
• Organise and manage staff under your control.
• Perform bonding, inspections, and safety briefings.
