Job summary

A healthcare trust in the UK is seeking an enthusiastic clinical support worker to join their multi-disciplinary radiotherapy team. Overview

The radiotherapy team is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated clinical support worker to join our multi‑disciplinary team. The post holder will be a key member of our patient support team which includes Radiotherapy Nurse Practitioners, Therapeutic Radiographers, booking coordinators, Dosimetrist, Physicists and Clinical Support Workers.

Responsibilities
  • Direct care of all radiotherapy patients from pre‑treatment CT scan through to treatment and completion, providing technical treatment information and advice on radiotherapy reactions.
  • Administer cannulation and venipuncture (competency to be gained on‑the‑job).
  • Provide accurate booking and entry of patient data into the radiotherapy electronic patient management system “Aria”.
  • Support the pre‑treatment team, assist with patient communication, education and emotional support.
  • Contribute to CPD, teaching of radiotherapy students and new staff.

Additional Information
