The Radiology Directorate in ABUHB is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Band 3 HCSW. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an innovative and expanding Health Board to work closely with and assist professional staff in a range of duties to ensure the smooth running of Radiology Services across ABUHB.
In this position you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide a quality radiology service for our patients . This will involve providingclinical support to Doctors and Radiographers and Nurses throughout the department, assisting with manual handling tasks in a manner which is safe for both patients and staff. Answering the telephone for general queries and directing calls appropriately. Assisting with the preparation of examination rooms. Ensure rooms are clean and tidy; damp dusting on a daily basis. To undertake clinical duties such as cleaning and preparing areas before and after clinical procedures - observing aseptic techniques where required. Maintaining appropriate levels of stationary, laundry, gloves, gowns, cleaning equipment. To adhere to and promote the Trust's Infection Prevention and Control policies and procedures and make every effort to maintain high standards of infection control at all times thereby reducing the risk of Healthcare Associated infections. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
