Heath Lodge Clinic is an Independent Imaging Centre in Knowle, Solihull, West Midlands, which aims to provide a caring and supportive workplace to all employees. We are looking for an experienced individual to support our team of Radiographers. The aim of the role of Radiology Imaging Assistant MRI is to ensure the smooth- running running of the MR unit and meet the needs of our service provision.

Main duties of the job

Your duties will include:

  • Meeting and greeting patients and preparing them for their diagnostic examinations.
  • Appropriate administrative duties under the supervision of the Radiographers
  • You will be involved with moving and positioning the patient for their diagnostic investigation and you must demonstrate an understanding of manual handling principles and the safe use of equipment such as gradient coils.
About us

The clinic is well recognised for our patient centric approach. Our clinical service provision includes an MRI unit comprising two state of the art 3T scanners, and an additional 1.5T Siemens Espree scanner, which is particularly suited to the needs of claustrophobic patients. We also provide X-Ray, Dexa, Ultrasound and Fluoroscopy, as part of our Pain Management service.

Person Specification
Experience
  • The successful applicant will have previous experience of working in an MR environment.
  • The clinic is well recognised for our patient centric approach, and any successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and demonstrate an empathetic approach when dealing with our patients.
  • You must be able to offer appropriate support to our patients who can be anxious about their investigation and the unfamiliar environment.
  • You will also need a good working knowledge of MR safety standards and understand the importance of accurate record keeping.
  • Familiarity with the role of regulatory bodies such as the CQC and an ability to work as part of a team is essential.
  • This is a full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week flexibly across 5 working days.
  • Occasional weekend work may be required with reasonable notice.
  • Flexibility is a requirement of the role as you may, on occasions be asked to offer support to other clinical areas in the clinic.
