Job summary

NHS England in Wessex seeks an interim Head of School for Radiology, a role suitable for a Training Programme Director aiming to grow an educational portfolio. The post is on a contract for services and release from clinical work requires written agreement from the Trust.

The Head will lead learner supervision, assessment and experience, engage faculty, and drive educational outcomes while aligning with workforce transformation and multi-professional links.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with learners or doctors in training in an educational context.
• Clinical and educational leadership and innovation, including managing a multi-professional team.
• Delivery of service and education outcomes with a track record.
• Understanding of Colleges/Faculties, professional bodies and NHS regulatory matters.
• Knowledge of workforce transformation agenda.
• Experience in recruitment, selection and Equality and Diversity in the last 3 years.
• Active involvement in appraisal processes.
• Knowledge of NHS structures and healthcare workforce matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead learner supervision, assessment and experience across the school and providers.
• Engage faculty, develop curriculum delivery and workforce wellbeing strategies.
• Work across health and social care to reflect evolving service models.
• Support the Postgraduate Dean and collaborate on workforce transformation.
