Job summary

Bupa at Cromwell Hospital in London is seeking a Diagnostic Imaging Booking Agent to deliver a patient-focused radiology booking service across CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and more. You will coordinate referrals and appointments via calls and email, working within a clinical governance framework to ensure accuracy and patient safety.

The role requires private healthcare experience, excellent English, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in private healthcare environments (hospital or booking centre).
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with an excellent telephone manner.
• Highly organized and able to prioritize workloads under pressure.
• Confident using multiple IT systems.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Experience within radiology or diagnostic imaging department.
• Radiology booking or contact centre experience.
• Knowledge of modality-based booking rules or MRI safety.
• AMSPAR Medical Terminology qualification or similar.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a patient-focused, responsive radiology booking service across multiple imaging modalities.
• Coordinate referrals and appointments via telephone and email.
• Work within a clinically governed environment where accuracy and patient safety are essential.
• Collaborate with radiologists, radiographers, nursing teams and internal stakeholders.
• Manage complex patient queries including implants, medical devices, claustrophobia and radiation concerns.
• Support anxious patients and escalate to clinical teams when appropriate.
• Meet booking KPIs and support connected care pathways.
• Maintain booking, referral and reporting systems to support efficient service delivery.
