Job summary

Nuffield Health Taunton Hospital is seeking a Radiology Administrator to handle a large volume of email referrals and appointment requests. The role supports the Radiology department to ensure service deliverables are met and customer expectations are exceeded.

You will manage bookings, coordinate room/consultant availability and prepare routine reports, contributing to efficient clinic operations and accurate recordkeeping.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer-facing admin role.
  • Ability to manage high volumes of email requests.
  • Accurate data entry and reporting.
  • Experience using hospital IT systems.

Responsibilities

  • Administer referrals to appointments and manage bookings.
  • Prepare standard and ad-hoc reports for the department.

  • Create, alter or cancel clinics as required.

  • Take patients height and weight measurements.

Radiology Administrator

Taunton Hospital | Administration | Permanent | Full Time

£25,038 per annum

37.5 hours per week

We are looking for an Administrator in our Radiology department who will be responsible for administering a large volume of email requests from referrals to appointments, ensuring the hospital meets its service deliverables whilst exceeding customer expectations. Preferably you will have experience of working in a customer facing environment, to help us build a healthier nation.

As our Radiology Administrator you will:

  • Bring empathy, sympathy and sensitivity to the role.
  • Ensure complex administration and support, meets the required standards and timescales
  • Have attention to detail ensuring all data/information is accurate using the appropriate system and format.
  • To prepare standard and ad-hoc reports as required and required by the department
  • Handle appointments bookings and changes
  • Co-ordinate availability of rooms and consultants
  • Create, alter or cancel clinics as required to support business needs
  • Manage the transfer of medical reports

Clinical duties will include:

  • Taking patients height and weight measurements
  • Chaperoning ultrasound scans
  • Keeping accurate records of procedures on local IT systems
