Overview

The Radiology Admin & Clerical team is looking for flexible and motivated people to join our team. This role involves booking radiology appointments, coordinating inpatient and ED appointments, and supporting the reception desk to ensure a safe and effective radiology service at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule imaging appointments for a range of modalities (Ultrasound, X‑Ray, CT, MRI). Call patients to confirm dates, times, give directions and provide relevant preparation information.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly, manage voicemails and emails, and assist patients, staff and healthcare professionals with any queries.
  • Cover various reception desks within the department, receive patients, liaise with wards and portering services to arrange inpatient scheduling.
  • Perform all reception duties in a pleasant and courteous manner with patients, visitors and other hospital staff.
  • Coordinate with Radiographers and departmental team members, relaying information accurately and promptly.
  • Complete Soliton, ICE and PAS training to enable accurate and efficient performance of duties, including checking ICE for electronic requests, registering new patients on PAS, and updating demographic details.
Training & Development
  1. Undergo Soliton, ICE and PAS training to support effective appointment and patient registration duties.
  2. Check ICE for requests and deferred orders and register new patients on PAS in a timely manner.
  3. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of PAS for checking, amending and registering patient details, and review patient activity for changes to clinic appointments.
