We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cross-Sectional Radiographers with a strong focus on MRI to join our dynamic imaging team across multiple locations.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging, support protocol development, and ensure the safety and comfort of our patients. This role is suited to someone confident in cross-sectional imaging techniques and committed to clinical excellence.
You will work collaboratively in a small but friendly team, contributing to service development and maintaining the highest standards of patient care and imaging safety.
Main duties of the job
- Deliver high-quality MRI scans and other cross-sectional imaging (CT, as required) according to clinical protocols.
- Ensure accurate patient positioning, image acquisition, and adherence to imaging protocols.
Patient Care and Safety
- Prepare and support patients for imaging procedures, providing clear instructions and reassurance.
- Maintain patient safety, including monitoring for adverse reactions and adhering to radiation safety and MRI safety protocols.
Protocol Development and Image Evaluation
- Assist in the development, optimisation, and implementation of MRI and cross-sectional imaging protocols.
- Evaluate image quality and make adjustments to ensure diagnostic accuracy.
Clinical Governance and Compliance
- Ensure compliance with HCPC registration requirements, departmental procedures, and professional standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation in line with information governance and data protection standards.
Collaboration and Teamwork
- Work closely with radiologists, fellow radiographers, and multidisciplinary teams to support patient care and service delivery.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff or trainees as required.
Equipment Maintenance and Quality Assurance
- Perform routine checks, quality assurance, and maintenance of MRI and other cross-sectional imaging equipment.
- Report and escale any equipment faults or safety concerns promptly.

Person Specification / Requirements
- HCPC-registered Radiographer with a strong focus on MRI.
- Experience in cross‑sectional imaging, ideally including MRI and CT.
- Knowledge of imaging protocols, quality assurance, and safety standards.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small, friendly team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications
- BSc in Radiography or equivalent.
- HCPC Registered.
- Evidence of CPD.
