A leading equine training organization in the United Kingdom is seeking an enthusiastic apprentice for the role of an Equine Groom. Candidates should possess some experience with horses, preferably racehorses, and be confident riders. The role includes essential yard duties such as mucking out, feeding, and grooming while also offering training in ride skills and equine rehabilitation. With 5-day work weeks and various training opportunities, this position is an excellent entry point into the equine industry.
The facilities at Froglands are second to none. There is an equine water treadmill, equine massage equipment, Zamar heat treatment and Claydon walker to name but a few. The farm also boasts a 5 1/2 furlong carpet uphill gallop and both flat and uphill grass gallops, canter ring, outdoor school, and lunging pen. From flat horses through stalls to national hunt horses jumping steeplechase fences and rehabilitation of the injured. Individual treatment and attention to detail is guaranteed at Froglands.
Team Dyson are a friendly team who are committed to training both flat and national hunt racehorses, and this apprenticeship offers the chance to also learn some rehabilitation techniques. Prior horse care knowledge would be desirable however, full training will be given.
Positions available for a riding and non‑ridden groom. For the ridden position you will need to be a good rider required with ideally an eventing or show jumping background. The horses are worked on the flat and they also do grid work and hack around the farm alongside work on the gallops so plenty of variety!

The ideal candidate will need to be happy with a cheerful and professional nature, hardworking and willing to learn, work well under pressure with good time management and be a team player.
5 days a week to include some weekends and bank holidays on a rota.
7:30 am start until 5 pm with breaks throughout the day.
All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day‑to‑day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in‑person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.
GCSE Level 4/Grade C in Maths and English or equivalent.
Call Haddon Training to discuss if not yet achieved – must be able to work towards Level 1 or higher in Functional Skills Maths and English.
Opportunities to progress with ridden skills, horsemanship, equine rehab depending on what area one is interested.
