Job summary

Leonid Group Ltd. is seeking an R&D Tax Consultant in London to join a supportive, collaborative team. The role offers exposure to a broad range of clients and industries, with on-site work and a strong base salary plus commission and benefits.

You will work across varied R&D tax projects, engage in client interviews, and develop both technical and financial costing skills while advancing toward 360-degree expertise.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in R&D Tax preferred, open to movers.
• Scientific background and a relevant qualification are essential.
• Based in London and comfortable working on-site.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of R&D Tax claims across a diverse client portfolio.
• Work directly with clients to understand R&D activities and identify qualifying projects.
• Participate in technical discussions and client interviews.
• Develop skills in preparing and delivering high-quality R&D Tax claims.
• Build understanding of technical and financial costing aspects of claims.
• Work across the full R&D Tax process with a collaborative team.
• Gain exposure to a mix of start-ups, mid-size, and FTSE-listed businesses.
• Increase ownership as knowledge and confidence grow.

The role

You'll work across a varied portfolio of clients and industries, giving you exposure to different types of R&D activity and a wide range of client projects.

You'll have exposure to:

• Supporting the delivery of R&D Tax claims across a broad client portfolio.
• Working directly with clients to understand their R&D activities and identify qualifying projects.
• Taking part in technical discussions and client interviews.
• Developing your skills in preparing and delivering high-quality R&D Tax claims.
• Building your understanding of both the technical and financial costing aspects of claims.
• Working across the 360 R&D Tax process and developing a broader understanding of the full claim lifecycle.
• Working closely with experienced consultants and learning from a highly collaborative team.
• Gaining exposure to a variety of clients, from innovative start-ups through to larger, established and FTSE-listed businesses.
• Taking on greater ownership as your knowledge and confidence develops.

What you'll need

• Ideally 1-2 years' experience working in R&D Tax, although we're very open to candidates looking to make the move into the sector.
