Job description

Talentmark are recruiting for a R&D Scientist to join a company in the medical devices industry on a contract basis for 12 months.

Salary

Paying between £20.43 - £22.99 per hour PAYE

R&D scientist role

• Create and refine new experiments, following and improving protocols to ensure robust, accurate data.
• Follow protocols for sophisticated assay methodologies, ensuring accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Analyse and interpret results to provide actionable conclusions and strategic recommendations.
• Champion laboratory excellence by maintaining meticulous records and identifying opportunities for process improvements.

Your Background

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific field combined with industry experience is required.
• Proven knowledge of diagnostic immunoassay technology and the ability to follow or improve complex experimental protocols.
• Strong computer literacy and data analysis skills, with a track record of delivering accurate results on time.
• Excellent communication skills, specifically in writing technical documentation and laboratory records.
• Experience with particle-based immunoassays, fluorescent detection, whole-blood assays, and working within GMP/GLP/GDP or biohazard environments is preferred.
