Job summary

Tata Steel Research and Innovation LTD is recruiting a Programme Centre Manager at Warwick Technology Centre. You will lead strategic planning, governance and delivery of a diverse R&D portfolio, overseeing operations, funding, and cross-functional teams to drive innovation from concept to implementation.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will own budgets, ensure compliance, and build external partnerships.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Engineering or Sciences.
• Strong understanding and application of 6 Sigma and other improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in ISO systems and audit procedures.
• Robust program and project management skills.
• Demonstrable technical depth and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent team-working and written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and define the overall R&D programme strategy in alignment with corporate objectives, market trends, and technology advances.
• Identify, evaluate and prioritise R&D projects with a balanced portfolio addressing short- and long-term goals.
• Translate strategy into actionable roadmaps and project plans; manage multiple R&D projects end-to-end.
• Oversee operations of the R&D centre, infrastructure, facilities and budgeting including forecasting and expenditure control.
• Secure external funding, manage proposals, negotiations and reporting for internal and external sources.
• Lead cross-functional R&D teams and ensure collaboration with engineering, marketing and manufacturing.
