Job summary

Stafffinders are recruiting an R&D Product Development Technologist for a permanent role in Scotland. If you have a chemistry background or laboratory testing experience, this role offers a path from initial testing through to product launch.

You'll work in the R&D team, support formulation and testing, with GMP and health and safety standards, and collaborate with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to deliver cost-effective products on schedule.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemistry or equivalent with lab experience.
• HNC or equivalent practical experience is required.
• Experience in FMCG/manufacturing environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve products from idea through launch.
• Prepare samples and carry out testing including stability studies.
• Support cross-functional teams across Production, Engineering, Purchasing, QA and Health & Safety.
• Ensure GMP compliance and follow health and safety procedures.
• Assist with cost-effective formulation development and packaging.
