Position: Temporary R&D Process Technician

Contract Duration: 6 months.

Location: Didcot, Milton Park

Payrates: Day shift: £13.56 per hour. Night shift: £16.27 per hour

Shift Pattern: Rotational shifts following a consistent schedule of 4-day shifts, 4-day shifts, 4 days off, 4-night shifts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate pilot plant equipment (comprehensive training provided)
  • Assemble and disassemble plant equipment for maintenance and troubleshooting (training provided)
  • Monitor production processes and diagnose faults.
  • Handle and prepare raw materials and products to required standards.
  • Maintain high quality standards throughout production.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and actively promote a safety-first culture.
  • Participate as a member of the site Emergency Response Team.
  • Always maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
Candidate Requirements
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Minimum qualification of NVQ/BTEC or equivalent in a technical or scientific discipline.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with experience following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Comfortable working with tools and performing assembly/disassembly tasks.
  • Capable of manual handling within Health and Safety Executive (HSE) limits: 25kg for men, 16kg for women.
  • Able to perform physically demanding tasks while wearing respiratory protection.
  • Flexible to work shifts and overtime as required (with agreement).
