Job summary

Premier Foods is seeking an experienced, hands-on R&D Manager to lead the development and optimisation of ambient cake products across our brand and private label ranges. You will manage end-to-end product development from concept to scale-up, working with Cadbury, Mr Kipling and Home Baking teams to deliver commercially robust cakes with excellent taste and shelf life.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or equivalent.
• 5+ years in ambient bakery product development and NPD.
• Experience leading complex projects across manufacturing sites.
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end development for new ambient cake products from concept to scale-up.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, Technical and Operations to ensure feasibility and scale.
• Mentor and manage a technology team across three sites and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure products meet food safety, labeling, quality and brand standards.
