Position Details

• Title: R&D Lab Technician
• Position Type: 7‑month contract with additional opportunity contingent upon performance and continued business need
• Job Location: Irvine, CA
• Shift: 1st Shift

• Compensation: $28–$32 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform routine data generation following standard test methods.
• Support application engineers in data generation and testing activities.
• Test coatings and evaluate, collect, and record data accurately.
• Organize and perform experiments using established procedures; summarize and report results in laboratory notebooks.
• Use a computer to enter and present data, including charts and tables, for project communication.
• Prepare cleaners, pretreatments, paints, and coatings from chemical ingredients.
• Test performance characteristics of coated substrates according to established procedures.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Comfortable operating lab equipment and performing lap testing.
• Hands‑on laboratory experience (1–3 years preferred).
• Familiarity with 5S practices and maintaining an organized workspace.
• Basic data analysis and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to follow experimental protocols and preserve accurate data.
• Knowledge of and adherence to safe laboratory practices.
• Ability to stand for extended periods while working in the lab.
• Good team player with strong communication skills.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
