What You’ll Do

• Work within our R&D team to be responsible for aspects of the research, design and development of innovative consumable products for the biopharmaceutical market.
• Progress concepts all the way to commercial launch as part of a global multi-disciplinary product development team.
• Provide technical and practical input to support design, assembly and manufacturing. Create prototypes and perform functional and performance tests
• Responsible for documentation such as reports, mechanical drawings, engineering specifications and validation reports. Present work to internal teams, stakeholders, and externally as required
• Selection of raw materials, components, manufacturing/assembly processes and suppliers
• Work in close collaboration with team members and other departments including product engineering, product management, sourcing and quality
• May be asked to manage simple projects or swim-lanes
• This role requires occasional travel, mostly within UK

Who You Are

• BSc or equivalent in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline. We will consider candidates with HND/HNC/apprenticeship combined with significant direct work experience.
• 2 years relevant work experience
• Full UK driving license

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience of working in a regulated industry such as healthcare
• 3D CAD design
• Knowledge of materials science
• Use of statistical analysis techniques
