Job summary

CSL Behring seeks an experienced R&D Data Architect to design and govern data architecture across discovery, development, regulatory and operations. You will define the City Plan, establish enterprise data models and promote data mesh, data products, semantic layers and knowledge graphs to accelerate insights.

You will collaborate with scientists, engineers and product teams to ensure compliance, scalability and secure data flows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data architecture experience, with 3+ years in an R&D biotech or pharma environment.
• Experience designing integrations, data flows, and enterprise data models.
• Experience with data products, semantic layers, and knowledge graphs.
• Knowledge of clinical system data flow and data product consumption models is preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills across cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with TOGAF and cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of R&D data architecture.
• Collaborate with scientists, engineers and stakeholders to align data architecture with goals.
• Provide technical leadership to data engineering teams implementing the vision.
• Promote data mesh, data products, semantic layers and knowledge graphs.
• Ensure security, scalability and regulatory compliance of data assets.
• Create architecture documentation, roadmaps and reference patterns.
