Job description

What does the apprenticeship involve?

The apprenticeship is a leadership and management programme which aims to develop the next wave of talented leaders. You will gain a nationally recognised qualification, learn new skills and knowledge and become more productive and effective. Topics covered include:

  • Leading and managing people
  • Building relationships
  • Project management
  • Decision making
  • Finance and communication
  • Operational management
  • Awareness and management of self
Who is the apprenticeship suitable for?

This apprenticeship is aimed at colleagues in relief management or team lead / supervisory roles, looking to develop their leadership skills. In your current role, you will need to be working towards and achieve the following job role requirements before End Point Assessment:

  • Line managing of at least one member of staff
  • Organising and allocating the work or others
  • Setting operational and personal goals and objectives
  • Organising, allocating and managing resources
  • Leading on projects
  • Following organisational policies to ensure budgets are controlled
  • Leading team meetings
What\'s in it for me?

You\'ll achieve the Level 3 Team Lead Apprenticeship standard. Following successful completion, you may choose to register as an Associate Member with the CMI to support your professional career development and progression.

Study is mainly online with some face-to-face sessions. In this 24-month programme, you will be required to be released for learning twice a month, and in addition you should also expect to study and complete assignments in your own time.

Our delivery partner

The programme will be delivered by Ofsted Outstanding Exeter College through a mainly on-line delivery, as well as online support and eight weekly reviews. Tutors from Exeter College will work with you to prepare you for the End Point Assessment.

Applicants will be required to complete an application form and if short listed, a short on-line information session with the college tutor.

Please note, as part of the short-listing process, your application form will be shared with Exeter College.
